RULES OF COMPETITION

  1. Only European countries and european citizens are eligible to play
  2. Each country can register as many teams as they wish
  3. Tournament fee 20euro/player, 50% discount for players under 18.
  4. A team is made by 4 players and up to 4 reserves, who can belong to one team only
  5. The entry position will be determined by the average of the EGF ratings of the best 4 members of the team
  6. If necessary, there will be a supergroup, otherwise the intention is to have a big tournament for all registered teams.
  7. The 4 players of a team will be ordered by the EGF rating, the highest one playing at the board #1, second at the board #2 and so on
  8. The playing system is Swiss system and the rules are Japanese rules..
  9. Colors will be decided by nigiri between players at board #1. Then, the colors will alternate so that each team will play 2 games as white and 2 games as black.
  10. For a win (more won games than lost games, in a round) a team gets 2 points, while for a draw will get one point. A loss (less won games than lost games in a round) means no points fot that team..
  11. The final standings will be made acording to these criteria, in this order: number of points, number of individual wins, SOS and SOSOS
  12. Thinking time is 60 minutes basic time with 30 seconds per move byoyomi. Komi 6.5  points.
